Camping La Verna is situated in the immediate vicinity of Chiusi della Verna at the edge of the splendid Casentino Forest Park in the heart of one of the most attractive landscapes in Tuscany , where spirituality and natural beauty meet in a context of sublime tranquillity. Chiusi della Verna, between Arezzo and Florence, is a nice town at 900 mt of altitude where St. Francis and Michelagelo lived.
The campsite is just a walking couple of kilometres from the majestic Sanctuary of San Francesco, a site of constant pilgrimage over the centuries and a religious centre known all over the world.
At Chiusi della Verna there is the old house of Michelagelo Buonarroti and from this one you can see the mountains painted in the “Creazione di Adamo” in Cappella Sistina (Roma).
It is surrounded by small mediaeval hamlets, monasteries and Renaissance sites, and provides an ideal starting-point for excursions throughout the area.
The camping is divided into 90 pitches of any size, some with shadow and others with sun. Inside the structure there are also mobile homes, a swimming-pool, a bar, a pizzeria, a playground for kids with a tennis-table and a beach volley field.
Dogs and any kind of pets are allowed.
